Title: Never Meant to Be Here—But I Am
Bio: In this short presentation, I’ll share my career journey—from someone who never planned to enter academia, to landing my first job, navigating unexpected interruptions like Hurricane Katrina, raising kids, and slowly finding my way back on track. It hasn’t been a straight path, but through every setback, I’ve come to realize that life is too short to sweat the small stuff. True fulfillment comes not just from personal success, but from community, giving back, and making a lasting impact. My message: never give up, surround yourself with good people, and lift each other up. That’s how we succeed—together.
Reception: 6:45-8:30 pm, Labriola Ristorante (535 N Michigan Ave)
